Vinted asks you to verify your phone number: what to know
Vinted can ask you to confirm a phone number with a code by text, for example when you sign up, or when its security checks want to be sure the account is yours.
If the code doesn’t come
- Check the number and the country code on the screen.
- Wait for the timer to run out before asking again: asking too often can stop the codes for a while.
- Look in the spam or unknown senders list in your messages app.
- Still nothing? Contact Vinted through the Help Centre in the app.
Using a number that isn’t yours
If you’d rather not give Vinted your personal number, a one-time number can take the code. Ours cost $1, with the $1 back to your balance if no code arrives within 20 minutes. Get a number for Vinted.
Think about selling first
A one-time number receives that one code and nothing after it. If Vinted asks you to confirm a code again later, that number won’t receive it. That matters most for an account you sell from, where your balance and payouts are, so for that, a number you keep is the safer choice. Either way, keep the email address on your Vinted account up to date.
