Good to know for WhatsApp
WhatsApp uses your phone number as your account. It sends a code to the number when you register, and again when you set it up on another phone.
- Because the number is the account, this one suits a number you’ll keep on one phone. It won’t receive the code again if you reinstall WhatsApp or change phones.
- Turn on two-step verification with a PIN and an email address, and back up your chats.
- If WhatsApp offers it on your phone, add an email under Settings, then Account, then Email address. WhatsApp can send a sign-in code there when a text can’t reach the number.
Questions about WhatsApp numbers
Can I move WhatsApp to a new phone with this number?
Only if you can get the code another way. WhatsApp sends a new code when you set the account up on another phone, and this number won’t receive it after its window. An email added to the account in advance can receive it instead, where WhatsApp offers that.
What if the WhatsApp code doesn’t arrive?
Give it a minute, then ask WhatsApp to send the code again. If no SMS reaches the number within 20 minutes, the order is refunded to your balance automatically, and you can try another country.
Will WhatsApp accept the number?
Most apps accept our numbers, but no app accepts every number. If WhatsApp rejects one, cancel the order before an SMS arrives and the money goes back to your balance.
Can I use the number again later?
No. The number receives codes only while its 20-minute window is open. Once you’re in, add an email or an authenticator app to your WhatsApp account, so you can still sign in later.
Which country should I choose?
