Good to know for X (Twitter)
X asks for a phone number or an email when you sign up, and may ask you to confirm a phone number before it lets you back into an account it has locked.
- Add an email in Settings and privacy, under Your account, so X can reach you without this number.
- For two-factor authentication, use an authentication app or a security key.
Questions about X (Twitter) numbers
Can I get X two-factor codes by text?
Only with X Premium. Everyone else can use an authentication app or a security key, which is the better choice with a one-time number anyway.
What if the X (Twitter) code doesn’t arrive?
Give it a minute, then ask X (Twitter) to send the code again. If no SMS reaches the number within 20 minutes, the order is refunded to your balance automatically, and you can try another country.
Will X (Twitter) accept the number?
Most apps accept our numbers, but no app accepts every number. If X (Twitter) rejects one, cancel the order before an SMS arrives and the money goes back to your balance.
Can I use the number again later?
No. The number receives codes only while its 20-minute window is open. Once you’re in, add an email or an authenticator app to your X (Twitter) account, so you can still sign in later.
Which country should I choose?
Keep Best available unless X (Twitter) needs a number from a particular country. It picks the country most likely to deliver for X (Twitter).
