Get a phone number for eBay verification
Get a number, enter it in eBay, and the code shows up on this site as soon as the SMS reaches us. Each number is $1, paid from your balance. If no SMS arrives within 20 minutes, the money goes back to your balance.
How it works for eBay
- 1
Get a number
Keep Best available or pick a country. The number appears on screen as soon as it’s paid from your balance.
- 2
Enter it in eBay
Paste the number where eBay asks for your phone number, and ask it to send the code.
- 3
Copy your code
The code shows up on the order page when the SMS reaches us. No SMS within 20 minutes? The money goes back to your balance.
Good to know for eBay
eBay may ask for a phone number when you register or start selling, and can text a code to confirm it’s you.
- Turn on 2-step verification with an authenticator app in your account’s sign-in and security settings, so codes don’t depend on this number.
Questions about eBay numbers
What if the eBay code doesn’t arrive?
Give it a minute, then ask eBay to send the code again. If no SMS reaches the number within 20 minutes, the order is refunded to your balance automatically, and you can try another country.
Will eBay accept the number?
Most apps accept our numbers, but no app accepts every number. If eBay rejects one, cancel the order before an SMS arrives and the money goes back to your balance.
Can I use the number again later?
No. The number receives codes only while its 20-minute window is open. Once you’re in, add an email or an authenticator app to your eBay account, so you can still sign in later.
Which country should I choose?
Keep Best available unless eBay needs a number from a particular country. It picks the country most likely to deliver for eBay.
